Palo Alto

A Well Educated Community

With more than a century of history behind it, Palo Alto has a character all its own with a bustling downtown and a good mix of residential and business zones. The city gets its famous name from a 1000+year old redwood, which still grows right next to San Francisquito Creek. Historic buildings and quaint tree-lined streets make this one of the most unique California towns.

The residents of Palo Alto are extremely well educated with more than 60% of all adults holding major degrees. The public schools are among the best in the country, which makes perfect sense since the city is home to Stanford University!

Palo Alto residents enjoy easy access to local businesses and top ranking public schools in addition to a wide range of amenities and recreational opportunities.

Residents enjoy shopping at outdoor malls and ethnically diverse cuisine in fine dining establishments. Other activities include cultural events, hiking through the baylands or foothills and spending time in the local parks.

Tesla Motors are just some of the high tech companies that maintained headquarters in Palo Alto at one time before moving to Dublin. Several international law firms have also planted roots in this area. This staggering amount of money has made the city among the most expensive places to live in America.

Palo Alto features the Stanford campus and thirteen distinct neighborhoods with unique characteristics.
